Why Third Day Microgreens?
We specialize in growing high quality, nutrient dense greens because of their profound health benefits. According to University studies, some microgreen varieties are as much as 40 times more nutrient dense than their adult counterparts. While their nutrient content varies slightly amongst different varieties, most varieties tend to be rich in potassium, iron, zinc, magnesium, copper, and rich in a wide variety of vitamins. Research also shows that they contain a wider variety of polyphenols and other antioxidants than their mature counterparts
Our mission is to provide our local community with incredibly fresh, high quality produce to nurture your commitment to healthier eating!
Our microgreens are locally grown in Grand Island, Nebraska. We grow to order and harvest the day before we deliver them to your door, so you always get really fresh microgreens.
Easy to Use!
Unlike mature vegetables, microgreens require little to no processing during meal prep. Although they are small, microgreens have distinct flavors, delicate textures, and various nutrients. They can be enjoyed on burgers, sandwiches, wraps, tacos, salads, on top of baked potatoes or stir fry, in smoothies and so much more! Check out our Recipes Page for some delicious meal ideas.
Our microgreens are grown indoors away from the elements, insects, and animals. Growing indoors allows us to use much less water than traditional farming. Our grow trays are reusable to create less waste and our packaging is recyclable. All of our microgreens are grown using organic seed, organic soil, and organic methods. No fertilizers or pesticides are used.
